If you have already placed an order for a single kit pre-production system, it will be leaving 1/25.  Currently we are working on a few other systems that we can fill within a week.  If you are ready for a kit, do not miss this order slot as people have been waiting over a year for this release.  

 

On 3 Performance has been designing turbo systems for the Coyote 5.0 platform since it was released in 2011.  We first launched our extremely popular twin turbo system which people have been running now for over 5 years.  Cars have now been into the 7�s utilizing conponets from our system now in the quarter mile with a proven track record.  If you check out our Quickest Coyote List, we started with 10 spots and had to expand to over 20 spots now to account for customers currently running 9.99�s or quicker!  We see that some customers are specifically looking for a Coyote 5.0 single turbo system option.  This is a less complex system and will be slightly easier to install for the average person building their car out of a garage.  Out of the box, our system is going to have amazing potential and be geared toward those targeting 600-1050 rear wheel horsepower.

 

Hot side Spec:

Instead of making the stainless cast manifold an option like the twin system, we are making it standard in our single turbo kit.  Our system uses a tweaked version of our forward facing manifolds that have already been proven over 1500rwhp.  One of the most important aspects to the turbo kit is that we wanted to retain the factory kmember and not require an aftermarket tubular unit.  Connecting to the turbo manifolds is a 304ss 2.5? merge pipe to route exhaust gases to your turbo.  In order to have optimal control over boost, we integrated dual On 3 Performance 44mm wastegates.  This allowed us to dial the boost in all the way down to 6psi and hold steady.  Both gates are vented to atmosphere and this sounds amazing.

 

Performance Specs:

We have designed our kit around one of the nicest and most powerful turbochargers we have produced to date.  Our new 2nd Gen On 3 Performance 76mm which features a CNC billet wheel, 4? anti-surge inlet compressor cover and 3.0? outlet.  This powerful turbo had no problem keeping back pressure to a minimum with our testing and yielded us 916 rear wheel horsepower at 12psi during testing.  Being that this design car was shipped in for development, the owner said that was a great stopping point for the time being.  We have no doubt it would easily make more power as we have made 1050~rwhp on earlier applications with the exact same turbo model.

 

A huge benefit to our design is that we were able to design around the factory Kmember.  This makes for a much easier bolt on kit and saves a ton of time in labor.  Its not to say you cannot run tubular suspension to drop weight but this is not required with our system.

You will also notice we have a few different exhaust options that you can go with.  Each kit is going to contain the full turbo back exhaust that gets you to the catback connection.  We also see the popular trend of guys wanting to run the bumper exit style exhaust which clearly is a more race inspired option.  This is completely a personal preference and selection should be made depending on what you are building the accomplish.  Keep in mind if you plan to run full exhaust, you MUST have an upgraded axle back system.  If you attempt to run full exhaust through stock mufflers, your going to create a massive restriction which will drive back pressure through the roof.  On our test car, we ran this car with open downpipes for reference on the dyno.  For street driving, the car now had a catback on it but does have active cutouts to keep the exhaust flow restriction to a minimum.

    I have used all of the big name tuners before I came across Ortiz and ran the fastest times I ever have, with Ortiz. . I ran my fastest time in much worse DA as well, compared to the other 2 big names. Don't waste your money like I did and go directly to the source of the fastest NA cars around!

    Pump works great. To anyone who might want to save some cash and want a plug-in play install then order this fuel pump from 1A Auto
    2018 Ford Explorer V6 3.5L Turbo Passenger Side Fuel Pump Module Assembly TRQ FPA72032. Its a simple replacement. Pumps are same size, no boring/sanding ridge to make pump fit. No splicing of wires either, connector from 1A Auto is plug and play. Just reuse spacer on pump and use one of the new o-rings and your done. Took me 30 minutes. I swapped out float with OEM, explorer and SHO floats are different. Only pain is retainer on rod on housing, its plastic and you will need needle nose plyers to get it off.

    LOVE THE E85 KIT!

    I bought the E85 conversion kit for my 3.7 from Ortiz Performance (OP) for a couple reasons. First, they specialize in the Cyclone whereas a lot of tuners don't want to bother tuning it (...cause what's the point?). Second, I talked via email at great length with one of their tuners, Lee Ament, and he was happy to take all the time I needed answering questions with detailed answers. Because of the amount of service I received before I purchased, I was convinced that I would be in good hands. I also liked that their favored injector (in the kit) is a genuine Ford part (OEM for the GT500).

    I could tell right away that the OP gas tune was superior to the canned, Bama tunes I was using previously. I could immediately feel that shifts were taking 1/3 less time to complete and I could feel a lot of throttle boost across all rpm and especially in 1st gear (low rpm). I remember asking Bama to add more throttle boost to my tune and they simply don't make changes like that.

    The E85 tune was great. Instant 10%-15% power boost and response across all rpm and really fills in the gap at lower rpm. Feels like I'm using a throttle booster, but I'm not.

    There's only so much you can do to a Cyclone without forced-induction and E85 is a welcome, significant improvement if you already have everything else.

    Installation is straight-forward, you can find a number of videos on YouTube that show exactly how to do this.

    The one important thing to note: These injectors are taller than the stock injectors and
    will not fit deep enough into the fuel rail UNLESS you do not use the stock fuel-injector clips!...which is completely OK! OP and all the above-mentioned videos will also state this. You will probably need a spacer (like a washer) on the 4 fuel rail bolts to fill a small gap. (If you don't pull the injector clips, the fuel rail will make contact with the manifold.) It will also run like crap until you put your first OP tune on it.

    Wonderful Service

    Sent my manifolds in (USPS wasn’t sure about the address but they got there just fine), took a handful of days to do the porting and about another week to ship back but I’m very happy with the results. Customer service was polite and helpful regardless of how often I messaged them, definitely would recommend

    The over all ordering experience was a little lack luster at start. Ordered the intake on 12/3 and it was not going to ship for sometime due to a back order, which I don’t blame the Ortiz team at for one bit. However they quickly turn the ordering experience around, with rapid and prompt reply to my emails( no matter how much I bugged them). Once it was pretty clear the intake I wanted wasn’t going to ship before the end of the year they offered me another product at no additional charge. All in all I got a better product, excellent customer service and I’m glad and proud to say my 2015 SHO is tuned and take care of by Ortiz Performance. Greta company, great people and a great over all experience.

    Great Look!

    I wish the description would have more description as to what you are ordering and the difference with/without the rear silicone boot.
    It is very difficult to install the rear silicone boot on the rear turbo. I would put slightly bigger clamps where they mount on the turbos as well. But the product is top grade! Looks really great!! Performs great as well. I will be doing the hot pipes for sure from ecopower parts as well.

    I purchased the Custom Tunes for my 2011 3.7, and i can honestly say Ortiz is the best tuner in the world in my opinion. 7 days a week Twice on Sunday. If you want to gap v8's and rip the streets slaying the competition, you have 100% come to the right place.

    I purchased the Ghost Cam and Bravo 240. Hands down the best decision in my opinion. The Ghost sounds so amazing, everyone is always complimenting the idle. The drive ability is great, no issues. The Bravo is also one of my favorite things as well. As I decelerate you can literally here the bald eagles and F18's, its wild!! Seriously though it sounds like thunder with a mix of gunshots in there.. its absolutely amazing in every way. Ortiz knows best!!

    Power Pack

    I have been running this tune/package on my SHO for over a year. Increased performance and fuel economy...never thought you could get both. Lee’s customer support and Luis’ tuning and turnaround time was beyond impressive. Luis reviewed multiple datalogs until deciding the car was running perfectly and safely, making smooth power and shifting on point. They answered any questions and concerns almost immediately and an updated tune was sent within 24 hours. That’s what will keep me coming back.
